Steel is what we know best. BIMLEED's engineers have spent the last decade designing, detailing, and supporting the erection of structural steel for industrial buildings, warehouses, hangars, and commercial projects across Saudi Arabia.

Specialized Erection Engineering

The engineering work that happens between the design office and the erection crew done right.

The dangerous part of a steel project is not the design — it's the four weeks when the steel actually goes up. Our specialized erection engineering services exist so that crane radius, bracing sequence, and lifting point design never become the reason a project stops on site.

Lifting Lug & Pad eye Design

Welded-on lifting lugs and pad eyes designed to AISC, AWS D1.1, and DNV 2.7-1 where applicable. Every lug is checked for tension, bearing, weld capacity, and bending under sling angle — with a calculation sheet attached. We deliver the lug shop drawing and a fabrication note ready for the workshop.

Heavy Lift Studies & Rigging Plans

Standalone engineering packages for heavy or unusual lifts — long-span trusses, mega-columns, modular assemblies, and tandem-crane operations. Each study includes a 3D rigging model, sling tension calculations, ground bearing pressure, lug loads, rigging gear capacities, and a documented contingency plan.

Erection Method Statements

Project-specific erection procedures written for the actual sequence and conditions on your site. Each statement covers crane positioning, lifting points, temporary bracing, fall protection, and inspection holds — formatted to the layout consultants and Civil Defence reviewers expect.

Connection Modification Studies

Field modification engineering when as-built conditions deviate from IFC design. Revised connection capacity calcs, alternative weld details, and stamped justification memos turned around in 24–48 hours so site work doesn't stop.

Construction Sequence Analysis

Phase-by-phase analysis of the structure as it goes up — modeled in SAP2000 or STAAD with the temporary supports in place to confirm that every partial state is stable under its own weight, wind, and the bracing holding it together. Output: a clear sequence the erection team can follow safely.

Temporary Works Design

Engineered design for the temporary structures the permanent steel relies on during erection — temporary bracing, shoring, jacking frames, and stability towers. Each system is designed to its own loads, with a documented removal sequence so it comes out only when the permanent frame can stand alone.
