The brief

A strip mall in Jeddah needing its façades designed and its pre-engineered buildings anchored to foundations that pass the Saudi Building Code checks.

What we delivered

  • Architectural façade design
  • Foundations, columns and grade beams engineered in ETABS and SAFE, with footings checked in Tekla Tedds
  • Steel reactions taken from the PEB manufacturer’s load sheets, not assumed
  • PEB anchorage design in RAM with SBC sliding and overturning checks
  • Load combinations to the Saudi Building Code and ASCE 7; concrete to ACI 318-19 (C35–C40, Fy 420 MPa)
  • Full calculation report plus IFC structural drawing set in CAD and PDF
