Outcome

The brief

A grain processing facility where the architecture, the production hall and the silos had to be engineered as one, with steel detailed to a standard the fabricator could cut from directly.

The constraint

A fabricator who has to redraw a connection has already lost the week. Detailing accurate enough to cut from is not a drafting standard: it is a scheduling decision made at design stage.
