Infrastructure

Taya Industrial City

An industrial city's utility corridors, resolved before excavation. Site-wide electrical network design, street lighting verified in DIALux, pump station M&E, and every corridor federated before a trench was opened.

Outcome

The brief

An industrial city needing complete infrastructure engineering to a developer's programme, across a site large enough that every utility corridor had to be right the first time.

The constraint

Underground services are the one part of a project where a mistake is invisible until it is expensive. Once a corridor is backfilled, the cost of moving it is measured in weeks, not in metres.

What we delivered

  • Site-wide electrical network design and load distribution strategy
  • Street lighting studies verified in DIALux across the full road network
  • Earthing and lightning protection design with a documented risk assessment
  • Pump station mechanical and electrical design with control philosophy
  • Federated BIM coordination of all utility corridors before excavation
  • Quantity extraction from the model for tender-ready BOQ
